Some more questions :
1. Does anyone know what WotC plans to do with DQ? I know the
bitter truth is it may languish forever in limbo.
2. Second question : does anyone know the copyright restrictions, and
the possibility to reproduce as much as possible as an "Open Source" RPG
without getting in trouble?
John : what language do you plan to use to write the character generator in? As a programmer / web-developer I am interested (also, I'm a Linux user who wants to be able to use it - or re-produce it for other such Linux geeks to use).

As Snafaru mentions we all have been pretty busy in work and personal life. I myself have about 6 weeks to roll out a major application and my personal life has been on a roller coaster as well.
I expect everything to settle down to their normal pace after that time. I have just purchased an HP6350C scanner for home and I will now be able to move forward on my side project of completing our nearly complete bootleg copy of the 2nd Edition Rules. From there I plan to start on the work on the Character Generation System.
With John C leaving us his area, Magic, is up for grabs. This is of course a huge area and would probably benefit from a couple of hands invovled.
Also, does anyone have the transcript from our last meeting available for review?
Nice to here from you guys again
