DQOS - what's been done up to now

This post is especially intended for new people on the dq-rules'
egroup like Mitchell, just to name you ;-) and a refresher for the
others.

You may be interested to know that early this year we had a meeting
using AOL Instant Messenger. I also combed the Web for all existing DQ
material I could find, which should at least cover 95% of what is
existing out there. I then sorted it out and put it on this forum in
the 'files' section. All the files there that are date 03/19/2000 are
from that research. Then people volunteered for sections that they
would review/sort/format/etc. While all this was going on, I put in
electronic form some parts just to get things started while keeping
our beloved DQ format we are used to as much as possible. The DQ Open
Source - release 2000/03/07 (work in progress) is available now for
your viewing in various formats. Go
to http://www.iosphere.net/~eric/dq/ to download it and see a
tentative look at its layout.

If you plan to add materiel, like the Sun and Moon Colleges that are
in discussion rigth now for example, that's great, and once you have a
near finish version, simpy send it to me so that I can put in the
proper section. I guess I'm the right choice for now to keep things
sorted out. I also keep track of who has credits for what material.

I've got quite a bit of the new Magic Colleges sorted out (sorted, not
proofed or revised or play-tested), my only little difficulty right
now is to figure out a numbering system that makes sense to everyone
and that follows the DQ spirit. I'm open to suggestions...

I can do a bit of work in continuing to update the DQOS document but
I'm a bit like Rodger... I have a 10 month old son (his must be 8 or
9 months old now), a hard job, etc. so yes real life is getting in the
way, but I can't work on DQOS a much as before, but I'll keep track of
things if you send it to me and keep you up to date.
