Without even looking at it, I can suggest that any web-based
discussion group is inherently less convenient than any e-mail-based
one. It's a messy process to read a web page offline. It's
inconvenient to save useful tidbits. Most web-based groups have poor
thread-management capabilities.
All that being said, I acknowledge that
for some people a web page is actually *more* convenient. I'm not one
of those people.
If Yahoo is really a problem, might I suggest you
investigate other mailing list options before abandoning a mailing list
altogether?
